From the wool room to TVNZ's Breakfast show

We were very excited when TVNZ rang Middlemore Foundation, fascinated about our Wool Programme and wanting to learn more about the work we do in the community.

Within 2 days of the phone call, Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator, Amy, and one of our talented knitters Rae McGregor, proudly represented Middlemore Foundation live on the Breakfast show to discuss the Wool Programme and our wonderful knitters who work tirelessly to keep our vulnerable babies in South Auckland warm.

TVNZ came to our offices and filmed in our wool room, where we had all our beautiful knitting showing in the background. We talked about our growing knitting community and briefly touched on Jammies in June, to let New Zealand know we are now accepting pyjamas and gifting warmth this winter!

Thank you to TVNZ and the Breakfast show for having us, it was a surreal experience and we are excited to keep our kids warm this winter with your help!

https://10eurocasinozondercruks.com got me thinking about how small community projects often fly under the radar until someone like TVNZ shines a light on them, and the fact that Amy and Rae were on Breakfast within just two days of the call really shows how ready the Wool Programme team was to seize that moment. What stood out to me was the detail about filming in the wool room itself, since having all that knitting visible in the background probably communicated more about the scale of the effort than any interview could. It's a good reminder that Jammies in June is already collecting, so winter warmth starts with people knowing where to contribute.
