Buddle Findlay brings a clearer view, better care for tamariki

If you’ve ever had a cannula placed, you’ll know it is not anyone’s favourite experience. And if you’ve ever held your child while they received one, you’ll know just how much you want the process to be as straightforward as possible.
That is why we are delighted to see two cutting-edge Butterfly iQ3 handheld ultrasounds now in use at Kidz First Hospital, thanks to a generous grant from the Buddle Findlay Child Health Foundation.
The Butterfly iQ3 is a compact, handheld ultrasound that helps clinicians see beneath the skin, making it easier to locate veins and guide needles when placing IV lines or giving medication.
For our tamariki, this can help make procedures more straightforward and reduce the stress that can come with repeated attempts to find a vein. For clinicians, having clear images available at the bedside gives them greater confidence and another valuable tool when caring for their young patients.
“Having the ultrasound immediately available means we can use it at the bedside when we need it, particularly when access is more challenging.”
The devices can also be used for a range of other clinical applications, making them a versatile addition to the Kidz First team.
Continuing a 20-year legacy of supporting tamariki
For 20 years, the Buddle Findlay Child Health Foundation has been a committed supporter of children’s health across Aotearoa, investing more than $1.75 million nationally in urgent medical care, equipment and research since 2004.
At Middlemore, that commitment has translated into more than $800,000 across 40 high-priority projects, helping bring new equipment and technology into the hands of our Kidz First clinical teams.
Thank you, Buddle Findlay, for your continued commitment to children’s health and for helping our Kidz First teams deliver care to the next generation.

I tend to judge a gaming app by how little effort it takes to understand the basic navigation. While exploring the RaxiWin Game App, I checked different menus and moved through several pages to get a broader impression. The sections were fairly easy to distinguish, and the interface did not require much adjustment before it started making sense. I also liked having a consistent way to move between areas. For a phone user like Nandini, that kind of predictable layout can make casual browsing considerably more comfortable. https://raxiwin.com.de/
