Improving Splinting for Burn Patients
A new custom designed splint trolley is helping the National Burns Centre team at Middlemore Hospital provide care for patients recovering from serious burns, thanks to funding from Aotearoa Gaming Trust.
The previous trolley had been in service for more than 10 years and was showing significant signs of wear. Years of constant cleaning and disinfection had taken their toll, with cracking and splitting making it no longer fit for purpose.

The new stainless steel trolley has been purpose-designed for the needs of the Burns Centre’s physiotherapists and occupational therapists. It allows the team to safely organise and transport the materials they need, including the hot water used to mould splints. Its mobility also means therapists can take everything with them into theatre and, where appropriate, prepare and cast splints while patients are already undergoing surgery.
Splints are an important part of burn recovery. They protect healing wounds, skin grafts and flaps, help maintain movement in affected joints, reduce discomfort and help prevent scar tissue from tightening and restricting movement.
The trolley’s stainless steel construction also supports thorough cleaning between uses, an important part of infection prevention for patients whose skin has been compromised by burns.
Thank you to Aotearoa Gaming Trust for making this upgrade possible. Your support has provided the National Burns Centre team with practical equipment that makes their work easier and helps support patients throughout their recovery.

This is a valuable initiative that highlights the importance of proper splinting in burn patient recovery. Improving splinting techniques can make a real difference halloween jackets in rehabilitation, helping patients maintain mobility and regain function. It’s encouraging to see the Middlemore Foundation supporting practical improvements in patient care and recovery.
I found information about 10.0.0.0.1 piso wifi time interesting because access schedules can work differently depending on the system. Rather than assuming a particular feature exists on every device, users should check the documentation for their own equipment before adjusting timing-related settings.
I like seeing my shooting numbers improve in BasketBros over time. Even a small increase in my percentage feels like proof that I am getting better.
