In the busy run-up to Christmas, Middlemore Hospital's Lisa Blake spent several days, late into the night, in the kitchen making one hundred steam puddings to fundraise for Middlemore Foundation.
In the true spirit of Christmas and our values, Lisa had the idea of baking her popular steam puddings for Middlemore Foundation and raised a whopping $2,000 which will go towards supporting our communities.
"I've been making steam puddings for the last five years and working at Middlemore I've seen the amazing work the Middlemore Foundation does to support the community and promote health and well-being," says Lisa.
"Health workers often donate or give their time to support the community, so I wanted them to receive something in return that they could enjoy with their whanau and friends. It's great to give to a cause that I know truly makes a difference."
Thank you to Lisa and everyone who ordered the puddings and contributed to the successful fundraiser.
